What router should i get for my Xbox 360?

Question

Well here it goes. I have 2 computers in one room and my 360 for the other room. I am currently using a wireless Netgear TWC WGR614 v7 connected to a cable modem. Internet provider is Roadrunner with Time Warner Cable. The problem i am expieriencing is that I lag out of games or get disconnected constantly. I've tried using the ethernet cable going from the router to the 360- still laggy and using the the microsoft wireless adapter- terrible. Also tried using a Linksys wireless-g Broadband router with SRX Model #- WRT54GX ver. 2, little better but still laggy. I am wondering what should i do? Should i get a new linksys router like the wireless g with speedbooster or try something else? Someone please help me out i dont want to have to continuously get lagged out of games.

Get the lynksys it's was pronounced the best seller and the best router!! i have one at my mom's house and my dad's and i never lag no matter where i am in the house!! And they sell so much they don't even need money any more so they brought down the price!! it used to be 80$ now it's about 40 to 60$ (depending where you get it from)!!!

I was running into the same issues with my old Belkin router, so I decided to get a router that is built for gamers in mind and went with the D-Link Xtreme N Gaming Router. It is configurable so you can add all of the power to your gaming and then part out the rest of the bandwidth for your computer, but it is pretty pricey:

My wife was constantly on the computer and when she was doing anything online I noticed a lag to my games on the 360. After purchasing this router I have had no lag or connection issues. This router is rather expensive, but the performance I get now with no connection issues makes it a great purchase for any gamer.

On a sidenote, the "speed boost" technology will only work if both components are running the "speed boost" technology. Since your Xbox 360 doesn't have this software, it will not affect your gameplay speed at all.

You should get a netgear. My brother has it for his xbox and it works well.

Well my Linksys model wcg200 works perfectly with my ps3 console,its great for gaming.Ive heard Belkins are good. Whatever you do,DONT GET A NETGEAR!
