  1. You sound like an overall good athlete. If you have a good first step and can tackle, I'd recommend the flanker position. You have to be strong enough to help out in the breakdowns with the bigger forwards, but agile enough to chase down flyhalves on their put-in.

If you have decent pace, maybe a run in the centers could be a possibility. I def. go to a few training sessions first and feel it out.

  2. It depends alot on your ball skills and aggression.  Also, depending on the level of club you play for, what they need.  Many times bigger slower players who have a decent head for the game and some skill with the ball will be forced to play in the backs, likewise, someone of your stature, on a team of little men, will need to play in the forward.

First glance I'd say inside centre, or flanker.  Not tall enough to be a #8.

  3. if you go along to a training session, the coach should be able to give you a good idea of where you would be best at, it's hard to say without actually seeing you

  4. it depend on your gameplay...if your gameplay more rough, better you try centre...but if your gameplay just normal, better you play forward, flanker...because your speed important to keep you maintain game..

  5. eight-man or flanker

  6. flanker or inside center!

  7. flanker, inside/outside center or wing

  8. flanker

  9. I reckoon you should play wing or flanker. You would b a good runner in the backs and good in the scrums in the forwards.

  10. I reckon flanker or centre

  11. You would be a nice outside center/wing!

You seem good to be a center though!

  12. try centre if you have decent handling skills.

  13. American people playing rugby annoys me :) Stick to NFL.

I'd say just go to training and see how you fit in with the team. Your coaches will know where to put you and it depends on your skills. If you have no handling skills you won't be a back. If you have no aggression or brute force you won't be a forward.

  14. you can never be too big to be a back if you run 100 in 11s. If you can passalright etc (i assume you can considering youve played flyhalf before). outside centre is for you. If you just want to smash the sh*t outta someone W/O pads, flanker is probably for you.

  15. bs

  16. You aren't too big for the backs if you are fast. You could be a strong centre if you can tackle well and have accelerate fast. Wing may be option but your kicking and catching skills would need to be good. You sound like a good flanker: you would be fast to breakdowns and loose ball, and strong enough to make big tackles or a good heave in a scrum.

  17. You sound like a back row forward to me, you have the weight, strength and speed to play there but you also need stamina, tackling ability and ball carrying ability.

You aren't too big for the backs and you're quick enough as well. If you want try inside centre, i imagine you'd probably good if you had the handling and kicking as well. But your weight and strength would be put to better use in the forwards.

  18. open side flanker.  with your strength and speed you'll be a terror on the field
