What rules would you like to see nascar change? How? why?

The lucky dog needs to be limited, but mostly I would like to see the the top 35 rule eliminated.  There are too many times that good racers dont have a chance because of that.

because they have no chance at winning the race

and most of the time if there is another wreck it is caused by them

also i would change the the top 35 to the top 25 and then the next fastest 18 cars  NO EXECEPTIONS

1. Race back to the start-finish line.  That would in effect:

2. Get rid of the lucky dog, although I think this should happen anyway even if we don't get racing back to the line.

3. No green-white checkered, they just usually cause more wrecks.

4. Lapped cars start at the back of the pack on restarts.

The chase should go back to the old points championship because it's more representative of the best team for the year.

Now this opens a big can of worms.

First get rid of the chase.

Second get rid of provisionals.

Third Stop the top 35 in owners points.

More consistancy in penalties.

And as with Saturday night short track formal protest where the car is torn down and inspected  in open area and not a closed inspection room.

The rule I would love to see changed is the "lucky dog". Now I know why it was brought into being but I would like to see a driver earn his lap back the old fashioned way. (Not race back to the line during caution that's not what I mean) But during restarts the lapped down driver on the inside wheels it around the leader and holds on until the next caution. The lucky dog while it has helped my favorite driver this year just seems to be not what this sport is about. Just my opinion.

Don't get me started on this subject I'll run out of space, but the first thing I'd dump is the Chase, then the top 35 owners pts (sorry fastest 43 race no matter who you are) Past Champion provisional, then that Lucky Dog, you race your way back, they did it back in the day...But the number 1 thing I'd get rid is the Chase...I wonder what Nascar will do if just say once the chase starts and Kyle Busch doesn't the Championship..Its about winning, not some stupid Nascar idiots dreaming up this chase thing just to please these Mega Grande $$$ sponsors..But then I forgot its not Nascar its Na$car..Don't get mad at me I love Nascar but this chase c**p has got to go.. Its messed up Jeff Gordon a couple times, if Kyle Busch gets beat out in the chase, somethings got to give.

the yellow line rule at Dega and I think daytona its part of racing why restrict the drivers its fun to watch a driver dip down in the apron and make it 4 or 5 wide

NASCAR needs to limit the times a driver can get their lap back aka.(lucky dog) if they are a lap down. It's ridiculous how many laps some drivers are given back. And also if a driver is more than one lap down, they should have to start at the rear of the field.

Quit the stupid cautions for weather.

Back when this sport started - the shine runners didn't stop running shine due to weather.  

Do not mandate when to put rain or slick on - let the teams decide.

None of this "competition yellow" bs ...  we all know that Indy was tearing up tires every so many laps - let the teams adjust how they feel...

Quit running NASCAR like a corporate day care facility ....   Let the racers race bygolly !

No lining people upfront that belong in the back. Start in the order you belong. I'm tired of watching glorified fuel consumption studies. Throw a debris flag so everyone can get fuel. I can't remember the last time I watched someone catch the leader for the win.

I totally agree with Jeff Gordon Legend on this one..penalties seems so harsh for some and others, just a slap on wrist and saying that was a no no..then others getting the book thrown at them for instance..Truex got penalized very harshly while Montoya was sent to back of line..I know different situations but be consistent..you in the wrong then same penalty should be given..do not destroy someones hopes of making the chase like they did Truex! Aggressive driving..same should apply..just my opinion.

The way they handle penalties with drivers. I think them taking a firm stance with the COT is harsh, but it does send a message: they are to be taken seriously. But to give some drivers "lesser" penalties than others who may have done the same whatever is just BS.

Limit the number of cars that a team can have to 4.  To keep Roush and Hendricks from becoming the Yankees and Red Sox of NASCAR
