Question:

What safety devices to use in 3rd row seats?

We have just got 3rd row seats installed in our station wagon as we have 4 children and only 3 seats in the back. Only 1 of the 4 children can use these seats because of weight restrictions - so our 3 y.o. has to use it. Problem we have is: what to sit him in - his booster (standard size) hits the car roof - so we can't use a booster. So we have to put him in the seat normally - they are small seats designed for small people. So we use a harness in it....problem 2 - the harness is fitted per the instructions, yet it seems too loose on him, if we tighten it - then it sits too high on him.....there is no happy medium. What have others in this situation done? We can't put our baby capsule in the back and the other 2 children are teens so they weight twice as much as the seat capacity allows so moving them to the seats is no an option - nor is purchasing another/new car.

  1. seatbelt replacement is the best way as far as i can think.........there are different seatbelt sizes sold in some auto parts and accesories store near your place, buy the right size and replace the old one..................

  2. I don't know of any but at the same time the third row is the most dangerous place to ever put a child, I just thought you would like to know and good luck.
