What safety equipment do I need to get into off road buggying?

Ok, i'm just about to turn fourteen, and along with a couple of friends, would likt to get into off road go karting. I hopefully am going to win a buggy on ebay, and have found a club that say they will accept me. The only thing i'm unsure of is safety equipment. I suppose i'm going need a helmet and gloves. Is it worth getting side netting? Arm restraints? Please, send your thoughts.

chest protector, helemet, goggles, maybe some dirt bike pants and jersey.

Try asking in the general motor sports catagory. this is the motorcycle racing section. mostly deals with 2 wheels.

Try asking in another section as this is motorcycle racing.  Or you could try and contact the club that is willing to accept you and ask what safety items you need as they will be the best ones to help you
