What salute should the common servants use?

Whilst visiting Lizzy at the old Palace the other day, one of the Guards saluted me!

I was rather fetched by the idea of my own self importance and have now decided to have all the common servant folk at the Manor stand to attention and salute me as I pass them, I am however undecided which method of salute they should use either Navel or Army salute ?

Can any one recommend a salute?

well obviously they must be naked and extremely handsome. i think bowing is appropriate.

Is that the one where they tap themselves smartly on the old tummy button?

A clicking of the heels together should be sufficient.

Well I find the most common one to be used by the great unwashed is what is called " The Bird"

well personally i always f**t loudly in front of the servants, or i might vomit on them , lets them know their place

The old "V" finger is always a hit.

Actually, old chap, the servants are deferential to a fault.  They already have a salute they use each time you pass.  

They designed it especially for you.  It involves a clenched fist held up with the back of the hand towards you and the second finger extended vertically.

I am told that this is more than simple protocol and that they do it as a heartfelt expression of their feelings towards you as their lord and master.

It almost brings a tear to the eye, doesn't it.

I generally like to receive a 21 gun salute.  I have a large canon in my entrance. This way I get to have some weapons on display and have them go off at me.  As such, nobody can be unaware of my arrival, and the doorman always has his balls at the ready.
