What saves more water.. washing up by hand or using the dishwasher

we dont have a dishwasher so i have no choice but i was wondering what saves more water

sincew you dont have a dishwasher, instead of running water constantly fill both side of your sink up, one with water and one with soapy water, wash in soapy water dip it in water then dry it! easy as that

a new dishwasher now uses less water than hand washing them and then u don't have to use as much energy =] so dishwasher way to go hope that helps
