Oh...the Hollandaise sauce wouldn't Hollandaise

And the pickles all hid in the jar!

The popcorn stayed on the popcorn bush

'Cause the grasshoppers all went to war!

To war!

The grasshoppers all went to war!

Oh...the grasshoppers flitted and the grasshoppers flew

And the gardener deserted everything he grew!

But they weren't after beans and they weren't after corn...

All they wanted was a knockout brew!

A golden, rich, jeehosephat brew!

Oh...you can guess where Sam's been tonight...

He's been very long, but not far!

He was helping the grasshoppers in their search

For the very best beer in the bar!

The bar!

Down in the village bar!

Down in the village...

Been sittin in the village...

Downing beer in the village bar!

I really mean it...

Found the best in the village bar!

  10. Elyslund,

Top notch drinking song 'tis I ever heard it! Where are the beer nuts?

    SAM'S DRINKING SONG

A Loose Interpretation of "The Piano Man" By Billy Joel.

Can you guess on the whereabouts of Samuel?

By now he'd be stumblin' in,

He had an old corn cob pipe

    Which nobody liked

That would give him a brown stained teeth grin

Now Sam used to be an old skipper

He had those quick shifty eyes,

He sang a limerick so loud

    It would silence the crowd

As the waitresses ran for their lives!!

    OH-LA-LA-LALALA...

    LA-LA-LALA-LAAAAAAAA-DE-DAH....

The young drinkers would call him Ol' Sammy

They thought he's a bit strange and weird,

    He'd take a long swig

    Then bust out a jig

The young lasses would pull on his beard.

He screamed I need a new flavor in my rum

I'm tired of chasing it with beer,

    He tried grasshoppers first

But they didn't quench his thirst

And the cockroaches ran out in fear.

    OH-LA-LA-LALALA...

    LA-LA-LALA-LAAAAAAAA-DE-DAH!!

    CHORUS

The Captain was known as Sam Adams

I'll pay for your rounds tonight,

As a young man good looks, yes he had them-

But now he's a terrible sight!

He drank more than an aquarium

    With all the fishes inside,

    He would lie nonetheless

    About some old treasure chest

With the map tattooed right on his hide.

For a whim we sailed him out on the ocean

To an island a mile or two from the sound

    We dug and we looked

That old man had us rooked

He howled that was the best joke in town!

    SHORT PIANO SOLO

    CHORUS

The Captain was known as Sam Adams

I'll pay for your rounds tonight,

As a young man good looks, yes he had them-

But now he's a terrible sight!

We all laughed as we sailed back to the harbor

And took up residence at the bar

    He said I'm a celebrity

    Don't make fun of me

Then he let out a long pirate's ARGGGGGHHHHHH!!!

And the holladaise sauce wouldn't haul-a-days

As the pickles stayed fresh in the jar

Then he stared right at me

    And he winked secretly

That treasure will stay right where you are!

    OH-LA-LA-LALALA...

    LA-LA-LALA-LAAAAAAAA-DE-DAH!!

    CHORUS

The Captain was known as Sam Adams

I'll pay for your rounds tonight

As a young man good looks, yes he had them

But now he's a terrible sight............
