I recently became interested in studying abroad in London (possibly at Kingston University.) I'm a junior in a US High School. Can I get money from FASFA like I would for a US college, or is there other ways to get scholarships? Thanks for your help!

  1. You are able to get FAFSA to fund your trip to London. Since the US and UK have ties in Higher Education, FAFSA works. Be aware however that the British Pound is worth 1.99 US Dollars, so everything is double so really expensive. Also know you need a passport, student visa and entry clearance. This means you must show the British Council that you are able to pay for the entire trip, i.e. tuition. accommodation, fees, books, living expenses.

As for scholarships, there are few but I can no longer recall the names. You have to compete for them just like everyone else and it allows for aid if a student wishes to go abroad.

It will cost a lot, but definately worth it in my opinion.
