Compass (not the north south east west kind lol the math one)

    Calculator!

That's about it really. Unless you wanna bring a binder. I never used one though.

Bring deoderant for after gym class.

  3. for school you will need a microwave and some shoes also bring a suitcase full of dead ducks with rabies. Now bring a copy of news weekly and bring a trashcan and a fridge.

  4. dont listen to the person who wrote dead ducks and suit case. that's just uncalled for.

you got very good answers here. in fact, i was using your page to help me prep for school lolx. andyways.. you might want a phone charger. who know, you might run out of batteries to make a 911 call to mom and dad. you might want a wallet to carry money. heres my list right now

    bag

    pen

    erasert

    folders

    calculator

    hi liter

    notbook

    lock and key

    ruler

    deoderant

and that looks like it. im still thinking for myself as well. for the locker, you might want a magnetic mirror. i have one. a magnetic white board. i have that as well. and something to organize your locker from school and personal. like a little storage draw. i have that as well. i got in from target for like 5 bux and it haves 3 drawers and i think it will fit in my locker. draw one haves pens just in case the ones in my bag die. drawer two haves nothing because im gonna use it to put my cell and wallet in there. locker safe place to keep valuable. it's locked shut khuz it's a key. if u have a combo lock...gl with that. also..a pda wouldnt kill you. although they are pricey. 107 is how much i paid for mine back then. its like an organizer. electronic..check out palm pilots. i kno you might be a little techy for a freshi, that;s how i was last year. i'm gonna be a sophmore. anyways...dont forget to go to the main office and aska bout concurrent enrollemtn if u wanna go to college. what is concurrent enrollemnt? some scholl might have it. some might not but it's good to ask. well hope i helped. oh and dont take everything with you on the first day...wait a lil bit. you might want to see what the teachers want you to have. although, you do have the usual. oh and a usb flash drive...VERY handy

  5. Bring a pen and a spiral notebook.  Take notes the first day and they will tell you what to buy and bring for each class.  Also bring a pocket folder for the handouts you will get.

  6. haha yeah me to, what i plan to do is just wing it go shopping every day for more and more things....if u c it get it and itll all be cool...:*

  7. Allright Well Here Is What I Would Need:

    1.5-2" binders for each class

    Lots of Loose Leaf Paper

Graph Paper for Your Math Class

    Pens (Red, Blue, Black)

    Pencils (Many you lose alot!)

    Notebook(s)

Journals for English (No Spiral only Bound)

    Calculator for Your Math Class

    Tote or Bookbag

    Locker Key?

    Ruler

    Notecards

    Sticky Notes For Memos

    Personal Necessities (Car Keys...)

    Hope My List Is Good

  8. I think you need at a minimum the following:

    1) Three ring binders for each of your classes

    2) 7- tab dividers to put in each of your binders

    3) Notebook Journal (preferably a three section one)

-NOTE: You can also put loose-leaf paper in each of your

binders instead of using one notebook

    4) Pencil Case

-You will have to buy your own pencils, pens (i would suggest

getting a few colored ones), highlighters, erasers, and sharpies

    5) I would also buy an acordian-style binder, which is good for holding homeworks you need to turn in or loose papers that you haven't filed yet

That pretty much covers the basics...hopes this helps!

  9. Hehe, basically most classes will give you a list on the first day of school and on that list the supplies are usually the same except for some classes (pencil crayons for geography). What you need alot of is PAPER...and a binder for each class is essential. A pencil or a pen is necessary and other basic supplies (eraser, highlighter, RULER, different coloured pen for underlining, correction fluid) As far as markers, glue and other presentation supplies go...you need them but for home use only. You will need creative supplies for shcool projects which will be done at home. You might need a folder for loose papers. The teacher usually supplies the class with markers and glue, ect. for surprise assignments. Don't Worry about it, High School isnt as complicated as it is made out to be. Good Luck!  :)

  10. I would just bring a pen, pencil, binder with notebook paper the first day of school because your teachers will tell you what you need for class. I wouldn't spend all of my money on supplies that you will probably not need so I would just wait.

  11. A separate notebook and/or for each academic class (generally arts and pe classes don't require that much)

    Pencils

    Colored Pencils

    Black/blue pen

    scientific calculator

those are the basic necessities, anything out of the ordinary you will be told about on your first day. good luck!

  12. back pack

    pencils

    highlighter

    eraser

    notebooks

    binder

    folders

    paper

and when you start school your teachers will give you a list of things you will need for their own classes.

  13. You'll need alot of the same stuff from junior high. But don't buy everything yet just like stuff you'll know you'll need cuz ur teachers will tell ya.

  14. HI Jessica,

Don't buy anything before you have visited your teachers and classes.

Now, we all know you are going to use pens and spirals... but perhaps there are specific supplies your teachers will be requesting... like floppy binders or recordable DVD's orCDs.   No need in you spending money before you know where that money needs to go.

It is kind of like going to college.  You just show up with a small spiral and write down all of the supplies each teacher needs in that.  Then you go shopping for the exact and specific items that were requested.  No $$$ wasted and probably lots of $$$ saved.

If you want to buy something beforehand,  get a nice tote... as teachers will be handing out books and syllabus and you will need something to carry these things in.    I would not be weighing myself down before I knew what was necessary.

    Thanks for reading.

Good Luck on your first day.  :))

  15. well, usually the teachers will each give you a list of what you need for their class within the first week of school.

generally, you'll need a folder, notebook, and loose leaf in the folder for each class. not to mention, a highlighter, pen, and pencil for each class.

    so for a list...

a notebook for each class (i recommend composition notebooks, they keep you more organized -as pages don't rip out as easily)

    a folder for each class

a couple packs of loose leaf

    10 pencils

    10 pens

    1-2 red pens

    3-5 highlighters

a sharpie (they always come in handy)

    a calculator

    a backpack/tote bag

    gum! lol!

um...i'd keep the markers in your locker for when you have time to work on projects, they'll keep in handy a couple of times.

also - a tip from me! I'm going to be a junior this year, and i find this to be very helpful!

make a "locker kit". use a small tin or pouch, etc. and fill it with extra helpful stuff. like -

-breath mints and minty gum (always handy - lol!)

-an extra lipgloss and eyeshadow (in case you forget yours, or didn't have time in the morning)

-5 extra dollars (lunch money, pay phone, buying a book for english class)

    -tampons/pads (just in case...)

-safety pins ( you never know...)

-a small deoderant and perfume (never wanna be stanky! lol!)

-a small lotion ( dry skin - eww. lol!)

-chapstick (kinda goes with the mints - lol!)

good luck, and enjoy your freshmen year!
