What scooter is comparable to a vespa?

i am looking to buy a scooter and was wondering if they are worth the difference in price verses a knock off. The 50cc appears to be to small. I assume you need a 150cc or higher

  3. The Genuine Stella is made by a factory that formerly made Vespas, so they are fairly similar. A 50cc scooter is only good for about 30-40 miles an hour, so for city traffic, you would want something over 100 cc's.

    You want to look for a brand with a decent reputation and a dealer network, so you actually have someone who can fix the scooter if it breaks down. Yamaha and Honda are decent japanese scooters, and Genuine and Kymco are newer brands.

    Vespa's main selling points are that the scooters tend to hold more value at resale, and that the bodies are all metal. The body panels on most other scooters are plastic.
