  1. The Crosman 760 has a 3/8ths inch scope dovetail mount on the receiver (the grooves cut into either side of the top of the receiver). You'll want an airgun/rimfire scope with 3/8ths inch dovetail mounts. Tasco makes a 4x15mm scope that retails for about $7 at Walmart. They'll also likely have more expensive variable scopes such as 3-7x30mm or 3-9x30mm models, but those will cost $30+ (with taxes).

This is based on my experience trying to scope a Crosman 760, so take it with a grain of salt. I'd say that anything more than an inexpensive Tasco is probably a waste of money. I found the Crosman 760 is so light that its hard to hold it steady enough to zero the scope. I know couldn't hold it steady enough to get the consistent groups I needed to zero the scope. The fact I was shooting BBs could have also played a role; but I found that the cross hairs never really settled down like they do with my .22 which adds about 3-4 pounds of weight to the equation.

  2. "J Kirsch" gave you a good answer. I'm going to add a couple of inexpensive 4x scopes for you to consider.

    BSA 4x15

    Crosman 4x Targetfinder

    Daisy 4x

    Each is around $10

    Airgun scopes - info
