  1. The score that beats everybody else's! Try to par or less the course.

  2. if your are wondering what you need to shoot to get on, you obviously can't fathom how good the pga tour guys are. It  depends on the difficulty of your course, but you have no shot of even playing on the mini-tours unless you can shoot consistently under par on a 72 rated course, and at worst 65 once a week. However, you'll never know unless you start playing in mini-tour events. You can buy a spot on the gateway tour at http://gatewaytour.com/home/buy.aspx

Then you can see how good you are. If you aren't a scratch or better, stop thinking about the pros. The courses Tiger and those guys play are so much harder than your home course you can't believe.

  3. You need to score at least 65 a few times so that is your target...the only way you'll make the tour is to consistently shoot subpar and that is your comfort zone for scoring. By then you'll be famous already in the area, the local PGA pro will give you all the details that you need.

Imagine race car driving, most people think they can do it, but have never driven 220 mph. When you are used to driving at that speed (extremely well) then that is your driving comfort zone. To be on the PGA tour your comfort scoring zone is 65-70.

  4. HAHA i like the other guy's answer... If you have to ask, you are not even close to being good enough to play on tour.  First, I would learn some knowledge about how to get to the tour first.  Do you honestly think pro's make that much money because it's easy and everyone can do it... HMMMM common sense I would say.

  5. If you could average 5 under par you'd probably be OK.

  6. Depends what the PAR is. If it is 72 then try to shoot 72 or less.

Par 72 is usually the most common but there are par 73's and 65's. Just depends how difficult it.

  7. If you have to ask, you aren't good enough for the tour.  Even the guys inthe Nationwide tour are below scratch golfers.

Plus, its not only how you shoot on your home course everyweek, its can you shoot par and below, on a new course, new grass, new sand, every week, with only 1-2 days of practice.  Oh, and do it before a live audience and TV cameras.

  8. First you need to probably get a sponsor's exemption to get into the tournament, and then you need to make the cut, and then maybe, just maybe, you may get a Tour card.
