Technically winter, but it does not snow in DR. The coolest you will find is 70ish around December. Believe me it's summer all year around in my country.

Although they are near the equator and it always feels warm, they are in the spring, just like every other country in the northern hemisphere.  Their seasons are the same as in the US

There is no such thing as winter in the Caribbean. The weather is always sunny and hot, and the best weather is between november and june, between june and november is hurricane season so it will rain alot. But it is never cold..

i cant believe people are saying winter, didnt they learn geography, its near the equator!- its always hot!!

Just like in every other country in the northern hemisphere, the Dominican Republic begins the season of Winter in December. However, it is usually a rather mild Winter compared to that in, say, the Yukon.
