  1. Winter.  Super 14 will finish soon

  2. well i guess it would depend on where you live and if you're male or female. (and maybe what hemisphere you live in!) In the states, rugby is pretty much played year round with regular 15 seasons in fall (late aug/sept to late nov/early dec) and spring (feb to may).  the men's club teams hold their annual playoffs and most competitive season in the spring while the women's teams have playoffs in the fall.  usually the summer months are 7's rugby season. (late may to early august).  Our team takes a break from games for a month or two in the winter, but we're in the southeast and train year round.

Everybody is saying "winter" ... what months are we talking about?  I started playing in upstate NY and there is NO WAY you could play in winter there... its snow covered! we had a 7's tourney in buffalo, Ny in february with -30 degrees F with the wind chill and icy pitch with fluorescent orange painted lines on the snow.  we all had frostbite

  3. well where we have rugby (in Canada) we usually have it during the spring summer and fall seasons. it could be different in different parts of the world though.
