  1. You do not want to add any seasonings to your babies food. I used to steam my children's food and use the left over water for the puree. I used to also puree the fruit , they have their own natural sugar and flavours. If you are adding meat, same thing, I would puree and mix with mashed potatoes. Peas, as well as carrots are good starters. Best of luck to you.

  2. I made all of my son's food and have recently started for my daughter!  At this stage, NO kind of spice is needed!  NO SALT-SUGAR or anything like that!  The best way to cook the fruits/veg's is to steam or boil.  You can use the leftover liguids to help with the puree process but not the water from root vegetables.  Once your baby is older, and is eatting chunkier foods you can start to add a little cinnamon to things like fruits.  Not much, just a teensy amount!  Beyond that, all they need is the natural flavors of the food to satisfy them!

    Best of Luck!

  3. don't add any seasoning at all.veggies like carrots and peas are sweet on their own....As for fruits that tend to be tart ...like plums...mellow them out by adding apples...avoid veggies that have a strong taste,,,like broccoli or cabbage.

  4. None!!!! I agree until after a year old!

  5. Absolutely nothing. Let your baby learn to love the natural flavour of food. Additives satisfy the adult pallet. Salt can damage a baby's kidneys. Most foods have natural sugars in them.

  6. I started our kids on home cooked cream of rice cereal with a bit of sugar or fruit in it.  Then went on to cooked peas, mashed potatos with a bit of butter and salt, added other cooked veg, meats and fruits.  I started slowly and never fed things like chili or other spicy foods but I used a baby food grinder and fed them what we ate, for the most part.

  7. none.  not even salt.

  8. Nothing let your baby learn the true flavors of food. Especially not salt. Salt is an addiction we all need to break, and not adding it to your baby's food will be a good help.

As you child gets older use a sprinkle of parmesan cheese rather than salt. It does have salt in it but there is more flavor, and still lees salt than if you were to just sprinkle on a little salt.

  9. NO pepper, very little salt ( check with your pediatrician).  No heavy spice like jalepeno peppers or hot sauce.  Blend what you would like them to eat with some formula and baby cereal, but not too thick of a consistency.

  10. little salt maybe, thats about it i would think,or lemon juice..

  11. None

  12. For a six month old baby you dont need any seasonings, it's better if you give the food  strained with no salt or pepper or any seasonings, let the baby get used to food wwithout any artificial flavorings, I used to blend my baby food and they liked it, they never asked for salt or pepper. lol

  13. Time for strained vegetables and mashed fruits. Baby is already having cereal by now.

    No Salt, Sugar, Peppers.

Sorry for bland foods.. during the first 12 months.
