  2. The yard, the outdoors, nature, sunshine, fresh air, grass, rocks, plants, the sky, a running stream, rainbows, clouds and hugs.

  3. My classroom for 2 and 3 year olds has the following centers:

    *Art/ Creativity

    *Dramatic Play/Housekeeping

    *Blocks/ Building area

*Table Toys-- Manipulative toys, science and math activities

*Outdoor Classroom-- incudes the playground and the sand/water table.  We do various art and buildng projects outdoors sometimes, too.

*Quiet Area-  Books, Circle time activities, and music

  4. In a classroom, you would need a block area, reading area, kitchen area, maybe a dress up area, a coloring area, a puzzle area.  Have the children rotate through these stations on a daily basis.  This will help them learn to share and work together.

  5. By sections do you mean areas that are being taught? In preK classrooms students are getting ready for Kindergarten.  They work on numbers, letters, shapes, etc.  They also work on socials skills, such as working in groups & individually.  That's usally done through circle time, center time, & dramatic play. They also begin to have students work on one thing for an extended period of time....& by extended I mean more than 30 seconds...LOL.  Young learners cannot sit still for to long, but it's something that's good to work on.  Once they get to 1st & 2nd they sit anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes at a time.  Hope this helps :)  I teach 2nd, so I'm not a pro with the tiny ones....hope it helps anyway :)

  6. Are you trying to build up a picture of a classroom?  "Areas" imply limitations - you could have storage areas that will hold manipulatives, dough, sand/water, books, dramatic play etc but what you have to ensure is that you have lots of open space as well as tables so that children have the freedom to construct their own games.

  7. I'm a preschool teacher at Thomas & in my classroom we have blocks ,kitchen, dressup, science, reading, music, art, computers & sand & water table

(sand & water not a good idea it makes to much mess)
