  1. As already  stated, macro, BUT, use a tripod, as any vibration will ruin the shot, and  use a remote release if poss, or your self timer.

    Good luck.

  2. MACRO if you can.  set your f-stop small, so you have shallow depth of field.

  3. Depends on the effect I want to achieve... but usually, I will use a macro lens on my XTi, set it on a tripod, and use a pretty wide aperture (5.6 and below).

  4. If your camera allows it, MACRO will be the best!

  5. If you have a Nikon camera or a camera with it use close up. This also allows you to zoom in nicely. The link below is a picture I have taken with it on close up. ( i have a Nikon L2)

  6. As stated above, use your macro or closeup mode.  Most likely you'll need to manually focus, as the camera has no idea which petal, leaf, or other part of the cluster of flowers is your center of interest.

You can choose a shallow depth of field (most open aperture - smallest number) to isolate one part of your subject(s).  Or, you could choose a deeper depth of field (smallest aperture - largest number) to bring more of your flowers into focus.

Above all, be steady.  It the situation allows, shoot at a low ISO and on a tripod.  You don't want your image ruined by camera motion blur or by grain/noise due to high ISO.
