What setting or thing is blocking my instant messenger from loading?

It's not yahoo or anything like that. I go to school at CTU online and we have our own instant messenger. Everything runs through Adobe Flash player. Nothing else is messed up on the site. I called tech support and they think it is some setting on my pc that I must have changed. What could it be? I can't see my entire instant messenger list. If you don't have a REAL solution then please don't respond.

check your firewall settings for both windows firewall and if you have a 3rd party firewall, such as mcafee.  also if you use a router there maybe be a setting on there blocking it either as a hardware firewall of u may have to enable the ports for that instand messenger.  but check firewall setting on computer first, and if thats fine, then check setting on your router.

also if you are using vista, allot of programs on vista you cant just double click like in xp, you must right click the icon and say run as administrator
