  1. they are both male and female

  2. They're asexual, so they don't have a s*x.

Asexual reproduction is a form of reproduction which does not involve meiosis, ploidy reduction, or fertilization. Asexual reproduction only takes one parent.

Besides, iIf they had a s*x, how would I know what s*x it was?

  3. First of all, your question is misleading.  If worms have sexes, they wouldn't be one, they would be two.  And then you would want to ask how to tell the difference.  As it is, worms have both sexes, they are dioecious, or hermaphroditic.  So you don't have to worry about sexing them.  They have both male and female parts.

  4. If you mean earthworms, then they are regarded as hermaphrodites, this means they have both s*x organs. There are slight differences between some species of worms.

  5. They are asexual. Meaning they reproduce by themselves, i.e. they don't have a "male" or "female".

  6. Actually, earthworms are hermaphrodites.  That means they have both male and female organs.  Two worms can reproduce sexually, however earthworms can also reproduce parthenogenically, which is essentially a single worm impregnating itself.

Other types of worms (ringworm, hookworm, wax or meal worms, etc) will vary.  This answer only applies to earthworms like the nightcrawlers and red worms commonly sold as fish bait.
