With this is mind, what kind of non-mendelian trait is colorbliondness?

Colorblindness is s*x-linked, which means it is carried on the X-chromosome.  Women can be carriers because they have two X-chromosomes, so if they have one that codes for colorblindness and one that doesn't, they won't express the trait.  Men, however, only have one X-chromosome, so they will be colorblind if they carry the allele on their X-chromosome.  Therefore, men are much more likely to be colorblind than women.
