What shade of blonde?

Question

I'll be coloring my hair for the first time in a few days at a salon but im still a little weary on what shade to go for. I have medium/dark blonde hair with light highlights and my face is fair/tan with pink tones in it.

Im thinking of a light shade like Ashley Tisdale's but i dont want to go too extreme becuase of all the damage. What do you suggest?

I just dont want to end up looking funny becuase my face doesnt match my hair you know?

Well it would be easier if i saw a picture.

But, i think you should just lighten it up a bit, maybe just thicker light blonde highlights??

Or, dont go all out and first, just start lightning it up a bit, and just keep going slowly, then you can see what shade you like best?

Sorry if its not good advice, im not that great with hair. Hahah.

The stylist has a book or something to show you the different colors. You can ask them to show you more than one, they should be very good at helping you choose the right color.

Well, why don't you just start with a little lighter shade, then gradually go lighter from there.

Just don't go platinum.

I think you would look better (upon your description) with honey blond with baby blond high lights like Reese Witherspons hair. Its kinda like Ashley Tisdale, but not as light.
