  1. If you're aiming to be in business than you either do a retail apprentiship level 2 as soon as you leave, if u do this and complete it, which is really easy u can than go into level 3 which is assistant manager/supervisor position. Not sure about A levels on how much experience you would get after finishing. But if you're not already, try getting a part-time job to help you get better experience at the whole work scene + people there should be able to help you out.

  2. I guess it depends on how you learn. If you're very academically minded then a A levels and maybe then a business/management degree may work for you, if you're more "hands on" it might be better to get into real work sooner. Maybe see what jobs/apprentiships are available and if there's something good where you'll recieve lots of training and support then apply. If the only jobs going are ones which you don't think will help you develop then stay on for A Levels or a more vocational course at school/college?

  3. if you're aiming for something big like that, go for A levels, mate. but some relevent practical experience might be useful as well.

  4. Do NOT go into work.

I think this year's year 7 are going to have to stay on at school until they're 18. Which means A-Levels will become mandatory. If you don't continue your education then you'll have less skills than what the national minimum will be. Definitely go for A-Levels or a specialised course. Or an apprenticeship if it's in the field you KNOW you want to work in.

  5. now theres no way to say which one of those routes will allow you to become a business man. if you reviewed all entrepreneurs each will have done one of the things you have listed. I reckon you need to concentrate on you gcse's for now look into any business apprenticeships to see if there' anything you fancy (really review it though to see where it can take you and what you can learn cause not all apprenticeships are what they make out to be) and look at the option of going to college to do a-levels or any other qualifications.

If study really is not your thing or you truly and really need a break, then go into full time employment and think things through while your at it.

but business ideas/ opportunities come to you randomly or you have to go out and seek them out. but thats no reason to hold back on anything else especially as they can give you valuable skills that you may use in your career.

  6. You'd be better off getting a mixture of qualifications and experience to be honest.

Although you hear alot of stories about businessmen leaving school and starting up a successful company, the only difference is they have capital, and/or they know the right people.Businesses and companies etc is a difficult thing to run off your own shoulders and it would be best to go out there and learn as much as you can before thinking about starting up companies.

  7. Be sure to get to 6th form/college and then university it'll probably be something you'll regret if you don't find something to study that your good and enjoy, go with your strengths and aim high....thats the best advice i can give.

I'm going into year 11 too and it's bloody terrifying.
