It depends what you enjoy, I was born in Sheffield but now live in Barnsley, it seems a strange choice as a tourist destination, compared to Manchester, Sheffield and London it is only a small town, the town centre night life is good but as for tourist attractions I don't think there are that many.

However the countryside around Barnsley is worth visiting it is only 15 miles or so from Sheffield and about 30 miles from Manchester, I have attached some contact details for tourist information around the Sheffield / Barnsley area
