What shall i do with my future?

Am concerned about my future, am currently doing a forensic science course which will enable me to go into university to do a psychology degree, but few months i have been having these thoughts about going into the army, i read deeper and deeper into it, decide what to do in it, training for it and everything, and now i don't know what to do with myself.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The army is a good choice for some after school. Since you already seem to be going to a University I would suggest keeping with that plan. The army is dangerous normally. Since we are now at war the danger is multiplied. Plus any branch of military is tough on the mind and body.

But in the end it is up to you and what you want to do. I would rather go the "safe" route but that's just my overly-cautious nature.

The army was good choice for my husband while he was figuring out what he wanted to do. Make sure you do the college savings plan. He put in about $1000 and had a about $20000 when he left towards college. When he came home and started college, the army sent us a check every month, even though he only went part time. The extra money was nice. and he knew more what he wanted to do when he came back.

Talking to a recruiter is like negotiating a car price. don't take their first offer. Decide where you want to go and what job you want to do and for how long. Keep talking until you come to a good compromise. My husband got 3 years in Germany and an MP position. It was a good experience.
