i have to ring a number to ask about a job vacancy i saw on the internet, but i dont know what to say?

Say hello , Can I speak to someone regarding the job vacancy you have advertised - would you like the reference number?

just say. "hi i am just calling regarding the job (add vacancy here) i saw advertised (place ad here). Then they will probably ask for your address so as to send you a application form :-)
