  1. When looking for pool and snooker merchandise i came across an excellent website:  www.sporting-web.co.uk

They have an excellent selection of  sports equipmet at discount prices with a super fast delivery!

    Good luck!

  2. OK Guys if thats what you think ,But a hard well scuffed & Chalked tip with a Dime Dome on it is the best for spin and control

  3. A domed tip allows you to impart the maximum amount of spin for the minimum effort.

Of the cheaper tips,an elkmaster is the softest, and therefore allows the most grip and spin.

  4. Can i make a suggestion of tip, use an elkmaster tip...they are the best tips for cue ball control, they are very soft but need replacing every 2 months.

it also depends on how you play the shots, and if you are blessed with a lot of cue power. hitting the ball hard with a lot of bottom on the cue ball will get you nowhere you have to play rythmic strokes for best results.

  5. Do people not realize that when you hit a stern shot with a soft tip it flattens?  I can see if you have a bad stroke the soft tip would be more forgiving, but for english a hard tip with a good stroke is best.  Anyone who disagrees, I'm sure Johnny will gladly take you up on a friendly wager in seeing who can out draw who, hard tip VS soft.  I'd love to see some impressive flat tip 1/4 table draw shots.

I would ask cashey why those tips need to be replaced every 2 months.  Soft tips are junk my man.  I've had a medium hard moori tip on my cue for 2 years that looks new and I play almost every day.  I shoot a lot of touch shots, but you can't play every game like that, sometimes you need to put a good stern stroke on a ball.  Go ahead and put a soft tip on if you want to replace it every 2 months and have to rework your tip after every game.  If you don't take my advice, look and Johnny saying the same thing.  He has the most "best answers" in this section, he knows what he is talking about.
