I depends on your feet - but Asics Kayanos are generally the best.  They rock!!

go to a local running store. and i don't mean like footlocker...a real running store and talk to them. they'll put u on a treadmill and check out your form to see if you need a special type of shoe. they'll be able to match u up best with a good shoe.

o reg pavement i guess any shoe tht is made for running...... I personally like asics

Brooks are really good. Never ever wear Nike Shox for running ever ever.
