What shoes can I wear knee high socks with?

I recently bought black knee high socks and have found an outfit they look so cute with. The thing is I don't know what kind of shoes I should wear.

It has to be what I call chunky shoes ie shoes with quite a thick heel or loafers, anything else would not look as good.

No stilettos, pumps or sandals. No lace ups either.

maybe mary-janes in a fun color for a girly look or converse for a more edgy one.
