What shoes do i wear with a teal coloured dress?

it has a gold ring on each side of the strap & then there are 2 gold chains mimicking a 2 strand necklace. the teal colour is turquoiseish.

should i wear boots? heels? sandals? & in what colour?

According to a fashion maven from my past, there are two colors which will work well, match the majority color or a complementary color with matching accessories. The complementary color is the one opposite the majority color on a color wheel. Go to a paint store to see a color wheel.  The type of shoe goes with the occasion. Is this an evening or cocktail style? If so, then any closed toe pump or strapped heel will do nicely, and since you have gold accents, then gold accents on the shoe will go well with a darker color, but will get lost in a lighter color. No boots unless you are going to a go-go. My fashion maven was in fashion merchandising as a buyer and whenever she was buying clothes for any of her clients, she would always get matching accessories as well. She figured what good is a stunning dress line without the accessories to match and complement the look? So, she bought whole outfits rather than just a clothing line and she dropped clients who did not follow this way of thinking. By the way, my fashion maven always carried a small color wheel so she would not have to rely on memory to figure out complementary colors. Before meeting her and watching her work, I simply NEVER KNEW how the fashion industry works. It was from her that I gained an appreciation for being with women when they were shopping, for dresses, outfits and especially for shoes to match.
