What shoes do you use for running?

Pointless question....

What you should ask is "How do I chose a running shoe appropriate to my running style".

There is absolutely no point asking what other people run in because other people don't have YOUR feet! (pronator or supinators).  And other people may not run like you (heel strikers versus midfoot runners) etc.  Also people who primarily run cross country or fell, will have completely different footwear to road runners.

You need to get yourself to a proper running shop (not normal fashion sports wear place!!!) and have an assessment called a "gait analysis" where an experience membber of staff observes you run to see which kind of shoe you need.

The best running shoes I've ever worn are New Balance and I've tried almost every pair there are for running! The give great support and cushioning for your feet and they tend to outlast other shoes. Try a pair, you'll never go back!

If you're looking for good running shoes, go to your local specialty running store and get fitted. You can get professional advice as to what type of shoe will fit you best. What works for other people may not work for you. IE: A lot of people wear Mizunos but they just didn't feel good on my feet. Then he fitted me with the Saucony Triumph 5 and they fit perfectly.

When choosing a running shoe it's important to try the things on and get fitted before you buy anything. At a specialty running store, they will give you more personal attention and they tend to have a better expertise.

asics and nothing else compares! i would never change from asics because they are the best!

i have two pair that i love, because they are lightweight and very comfortable to run in. the first pair is adidas. the second pair is the nike shox turbo. i love them because they are low impact on my knees. you have to have running shoes if you want to run and both of these pair are.

Salomon XA-pro,  they're light, have great tread and drain fast when you run through rivers or big puddles.

I wear 2 foot long clown shoes for running. I don't get very far though.
