What shoes do you wear with knee socks?

I bought some adorable knee socks but I don't know what shoes to wear with them. I'm 14, kind of preppy (well obviously, I mean I bought knee socks lol), and unsure what shoes to wear with them!!!!!!! Loafer/moccasin things? Boots? Flats?? Help!! Thank you!!
