  1. Training shoes

  2. running sneakers

it really depends on what kind of race if a short sprint  spikes would be ideal if long distance racing flats but def not sandals

  3. When you are racing you should have a different pair of racing flats or spikes to wear instead of your normal training shoes. You should never wear sandals to run in even if it is a race. They have no support for running what so ever. You should have a good pair or training shoes to wear for all your runs except races. If you are racing a road race you should wear racing flats. They are light racing shoes that have a flat bottom. If you are running a cross country or track race you should wear racing spikes. There are different spikes for cross country and track since you are on different surfaces. If you go to your local running store or sporting good store there should be someone there that can help you find a good shoe for whichever race you are running. The main difference between a racing shoe and a training shoe is that racing shoes have less support and are lighter.

    Hope this helps :)

  4. Running sneakers. The best brand of running shoes is supposed to be saucony because it's the lightest. If your on a track those kind of spike shoes.

  5. racing flats

  6. wear racing spikes. NOT SANDALS!!!
