  1. I suspect that you aren't aware of what prices at the "best shops" are. For example, at Hermes, a 12 inch canvas and leather bag will set you back the equivalent of $5,250.

"Black tie" in polite society means informal evening wear [formal is "white tie] . For men there is no option. It means a dinner jacket (tuxedo). For women it means a "cocktail dress" which is more liberally defined.

Of course, the Moulin Rouge is a tourist trap and so many of the audience are rubes who have no idea what either "dinner jacket" or "cocktail dress" means.

  2. U know Paris is a big city!^^ we have everything here!^^ well it depends on what you want. Luxury shops are mainly on the Champs Elysées and Rivoli St. You can find every kind of shop in Paris but two things are sure:

1- You're gonna find what you want don't worry (walk around the city and you'll be more than  happy!!^^)

    2- You're gonna have a GREAT TIME!!

have a good trip anyway! and "Bienvenue en France". (if you have time pass by Lyon^^)

  3. Most of the top designers have shops in Paris.  I've never been to the Moulin rouge.
