What shots do I need to get for my new puppies?

My male silky terrier and female poodle had puppies. They are one week old. Before they go to their new homes, I was wondering if anyone know what shots they need and when they need them.

Hi for puppy shots I got mine done at 6 weeks old they shouldnt get it done any earlier than 4 weeks. They need:

DA2PPC

DHLPP

Bordetella

Deworming

Rabies

I would aslo suggest checking out Petco, they have low cost vaccanations. Good Luck

Also, call your local vet and ask them what they recommend for shots and at what age, based on the breed.  Also check with them for their opinion on when the pups are old enough for their new homes.

Once you know the shots and ages, you can call your local pet stores (PetSmart, PetCo, etc.) and animal shelter to ask about low cost shots and if they give them to young puppies.  Often, you can get the shots much cheaper at those locations.

Don't forget to keep all your records, the new owners will want them.

They should have their first set of shots between 6-8 weeks of age and every 4-6 weeks after for three times.  The shot should be a 5 in one or 7 in one depending on the breed some smaller dogs can't handle the lepto in the 7 in one shot.  They also need to be started on strongidT or puppy wormer about three to four weeks of age and given 1cc per 10 pounds.  So you would give 1 cc to each puupy every two weeks until they go home or about twelve weeks old.   Good luck.

How old will they be when they leave?  If you are keeping them longer than 6-8 weeks, then you should take them in for their first de-worming and the first distemper combo at that age.

most likely parvo, rabis, and distemper. and i think they can be wormed in another week or so. but talk to the vet.
