  1. i was out fishing with my friend one day and he caught a 4 lb largemouth off of lilypads. there are certain hooks you can buy that are meant to use plastic worms with, the hook is shown at http://home.comcast.net/~volforeen/dinge... my friend used that same hook with a 5" plastic worm and thats how he caught his 4 lb bass

  2. There are lots of lures and baits you can use for bass. The type of fishing you're doing often dictates what's best to use. A good starting point would be a chugger, spinnerbait, buzzbait, crankbait, and plastic worms. I could really go into more detail if I knew what type of body you're fishing, and what type of fishing you're doing.

  3. "Fake fish" are lures and often refered to as "crank baits" when fishing for bass.   Spoons work, spinner baits are probably better for bass though.

Curly tailed plastic worms (Mr. Twisters) are a good all around artificial bait that can be fished many ways.  Good for bass too.

  4. When I go fishing for bass I prefer live bait, so I would recommend using minnows. When fishing for minnows dont use a bobber and just add a small weight to our line. Also a good spot to find bass are when the bottom of the lake goes from shallow to where it slopes down to deep water. A few weeks back I got a 5 pound large mouth off of Lake St. Catherine in Vermont.
