What should America's response to be Russia's imperialism in Georgia

Question

The military is unable to help because they're tied down in Iraq and Afghanistan, but what do you think could be done? Diplomatically, America has faded credibility sense the war in Iraq, and I don't think Bush criticizing Russia over warmongering could work.

So what can our response be to help our ally in Georgia?

Ask this question:  Does the situation in Georgia affect the U.S. or U.S. interests?  If no, do nothing.  

Remember, all nation building is a fool's game.  This applies to Iraq and places like Sudan.  ALL nation building.  Not pick and choose nation building.

I think that for once America should stay out of this one.  It's a territorial dispute and should be kept at that.  I fear that if we were to get involved in a conflict between Russia and Georgia world war could burst from it.  I don't like the idea of insulting China as Bush did, followed by a military or diplomatic attack on Russia.  Those are two of the countries that hold a seat on the UN Security Board.  We need to let this one play out for itself.

Mind our own business. Good Grief who put us in charge of fighting

wars all over the world. We have huge problems at home. We are

going bankrupt as a country and individually and you want us to go involving ourselves in some penny ante war in east Europe.

Actually, I live in Germany, and when I read the articles that the American media were feeding the Americans I had to laugh:) They seem to be portraying Russia as the 'Bad Guys". Silly, as they leave out the most important facts about why it all is actually going down. Try to get the facts about what's going down outside the US. I provided a link that tells all the facts, but I doubt you understand German. If you believe what the American government wants you to believe, then I feel sorry for you.

1.The Russians are trying to maintain peace between Georgia and South Ossetia.

2.Abkhazia was the country that initiated the air strikes.

3.Georgia militia is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent South Ossetia civilians - mostly Russian.

Better ask yourself a question - are You have right to build U.S. Empire over the world? Or meybe "Great Georgian Empire" worth deaths of thousands innocent chldren and women during Georgian offencives in 20th years of XX century, 89-92', 2004 and now?

Georgia started this one by invading South Osettia. This is not Russian imperialism, this is Georgian expansionism or consolidation.
