What should America have done following 911?

There were about 2800 killed by Muslims at the WTC and about 2400 killed by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor.

From the answers received thus far, it appears that nobody knows what we should have done.

What's wrong with holding the ones that did it accountable?

I think we MIGHT have captured Bin Lauden and his organization and we MIGHT have put them on trial.

We MIGHT have made this a priority.

Also make it a national priority to become energy self reliant and STOP relying on the Middle East for oil.
