What should Chicago Bulls do to overcome Miami Heat in the next season? (Part-1)
After finishing with the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls carried the action commandingly in the play-offs to overthrow the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks in the first and second round respectively.
The Chicago Bulls, who were not letting any opposition to come in their way, crashed down against the irresistible might of Miami Heat’s big three LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in the Conference Finals and their NBA
title dream since the Michael Jordan championship era remained unfulfilled.
The Bulls headed out strongly in the series against the Heat and thrashed the opposition in the game 1 as the consensus started to support Chicago extensively. However Miami blasted in the next four games and force elimination
on the Bulls to clinch the NBA Finals berth.
Miami Heat is the top team in the Eastern Conference which will remain a big threat for the Chicago Bulls. Here is the list of ways the Bulls can overcome Miami in the upcoming season.
Keep mounting in the crunch time
During the Conference Finals series, it was constantly observed in the last four games that the Chicago Bulls had favourable chances of winning every game however the team failed to mark an impression in the crunch time. Miami
Heat’s veteran power on the roster enabled them to escalate the momentum down the stretch which hampered the Bulls from taking control.
The Bulls need to learn how to carry the action till the end which will help them to overcome Miami in the next season. For this purpose, the sharp shooter Derrick Rose, who was named as the Most Valuable Player in the regular
season, is the best man to keep the momentum levitating. Rose was the man behind Bulls dominating success throughout the season who guided the team on the top singlehandedly. The team needs to play Derrick maximum in the defining moments of the game to make
sure their score board is ticking.
Strengthen the long distance threat
A prolific shooter who can play a vital role from beyond the arc can change the course of the game at any moment. Chicago Bulls’ shooting guard Kyle Korver not only failed to create an impact from long distance, his performance
also disappeared at the time when the team needed some at that position the most. Keith Bogans couldn’t mark an impression offensively as Rose was the only scoring option left most of the time for the Bulls.
In order to cover up the lapse of an instrumental shooter, the Chicago Bulls need to add someone on the roster who can contribute on the offensive end of the court that will alleviate some burden from the All-Star Derrick and he
will have more options to work with.
Miami has the advantage of the three best scorers James, Wade and Bosh. By adding a prolific shooting guard, who can marshal the Bulls from downtown as well, the Chicago will be able to compete against the Miami Heat on the offence
and overpower them in the next season.
