What should I Bring On my Picnic?

I'm in highschool, and I'm having my first official date with the girl I like in 4 days. I decided to take her to the park and have a picnic. I'm thinking about buying thai food and packing that up to eat. If I go with thai food, what drinks go with pad thai? If thai food is a bad picnic food, what food and drink should I bring?

Thai food sounds good but maybe not for a picnic. I would bring a comfy blanket and items that I could make sandwiches with such as Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef and different cheeses. Also fruit such as grapes and strawberries would be good. To drink I would bring either lemonade or fruit punch. Just make sure to keep your food either hot or cold so it doesn't spoil.

No, that's too try hard.  make it simple.  a sandwich, some fruits like strawberries, grapes that you can feed to each other... and if not just to goof around and throw at her playfully (which leads into more physical contact).  

It's not about the content.  It's about the idea and the company.

I don't think you'd go wrong with big Italian subs (muffalettas) from a deli.  That and a marinated pasta salad, maybe some cheese and olives.  For drinks, go with sparkling water, cranberry juice, lemonade or iced tea.  You can even mix the sparkling water and cranberry juice for a "mocktail".  Have fun, and good luck!  :)

bad idea, bring fried chicken , coleslaw and fruit, and sweet tea, or a subway sandwich and chips , fruit, and sodas or tea.

make it simple for the first time, and don't forget disposable forks and the blanket to sit on!
