  1. What was the experience really like?

How was being there similar or different to how the Vietnam conflict is portrayed in movies?

How did the experience change him?

If he had to relive his life, would he choose to still go to Vietnam, and why or why not?

What were the best and worst experiences of the war for him?

What is the one thing he really wishes the younger generation knew about the Vietnam conflict?

  2. Ask him how he felt about the hippies. I'm sure it would actually be an interesting answer.
