I am going to do an interview with a fuel specialist from an airline, about going green & alternative fuels, so what should I ask him?

  5. what kind of fuel do the jets use?  

    are there regulations regarding the idle time of planes? (are they allowed to sit for long periods of time while the engine is on?)

    is it feasible to use alternative fuels in place of jet fuel?  

    How is jet fuel made?  

    what does jet fuel consist of?  

    where is jet fuel manufactured, and is it possible to manufacture it close to home if it is imported?  

    what efforts has your airline made to go green?  

    are there actually ways to go green with the fuel for the airlines, or do you concentrate mainly on the buildings that house the planes, and the airports for the passengers?

    are fuel specialists responsible for the acquisition of the fuel?  (do they have to make the decisions where to locate and purchase the fuel)  

    Is there a high demand for fuel specialists in your field?  

    How long did it take you in school to accomplish this career choice?  

    What jobs did you have to begin with in your career, or did you go right into the fuel specialist division?
