I'm 17 and it is my first time seeing an OB/GYN doctor. I am going to ask about Birth Control, but I don't know all of the questions to ask. I also want to know what to expect when i go in for the actual pap smear, too. Any ideas?

Thanks!!

  1. I went about a month ago for the first time. I'm your age. All you really say is that you're considering trying birth control. They'll ask you your normal period issues and why you want it. Then you decide what type and what sounds the best for you. It's simple. And if you're a virgin, you probably won't need a pap smear. I didn't. Once you do have s*x for the first time, go back to him/her because you'll probably need one. Good luck. I know it can be nerve-wracking, but they know what to do.

  2. THERE IS REALLY NOTHING TO ASK. YOUR DR. WILL ASK YOU SOME QUESTIONS, THEN DECIDE WHICH PILL IS BEST FOR YOU, AS FOR THE EXAM, EXPECT SOME SLIGHT DISCOMFORT AND SLIGHT EMBARRASSMENT,BUT YOU WILL GET USED TO IT OVER TIME.
