  1. Ask for the bird's exact hatch date. Ask if the bird was "abundance weaned" (that means it was weaned when IT was ready, and not on any timetable). Ask how often the bird was played with during the day (this is very important for properly socializing the bird early and not making it hard for a new person to handle later). Ask if it's eating anything special (is it eating pellets yet? does it have a favorite fruit or vegetable?)

Ask if the breeder minds you contacting them down the road if the bird becomes ill and needs veterinary care. Ask if the bird has even been examined by a vet (just for a general health check-up).

  2. 1. Hatch date

    2. What kind of food and brand she weaned him/her onto, for example, Harrison's pellets, Zupreem Fruit Pellets, ect.

    3. If he/she is water bottled trained or drinks from free standing water

    4. Does she drink bottled water or tap water

    5. What are his/her favorite veggies- if it has been fed veggies

    6. Does he/she have a favorite treat

    7. Does the breeder offer any kind of a guarantee

    8. Is she/he stepping up

    9. what time is she/he used to waking up and going to bed

    10. Is he/she fully fledged

  3. I would write down all the questions you want to ask, also research how old quakers should be before weaning.
