My events are 300 m hurdle, and 800m. I am 14, 5'5, and 130 pounds.

They are in the morning, about 10 am.

Any additional tips would be awesome, and helpful :)!

  1. eat eggs and toast and fruit mainly bananas to avoid legs cramps

  2. hmmm if its really early, then eat something really light, and eat more after you run. If it is kinda late, then just eat say some toast, and some fruit and WATER but a little earlier

    good luck out there!

  3. Maybe a sandwhich?

Drink a LOT of water. If you drink right before the race, you're gonna be running with cramps.

    Eat some fruit.

  4. anything healthy: fruits, veggies, etc

  5. the night before you should eat plenty of carbs such as pasta or rice etc..

in the morning eat about 4 hours b4 u race and it should be like wheet-bix or toast grilled with cheese or salmon.. just b4 u race like 1 to 2 hrs have a snack like a biscuit or musili bar. banana etc..

and after you race have a sandwich and gatorade to replace what you lost and definately walk around after...

i know alot about this stuff because my coach drills it into my head every trainin session and ive never forgotton

  6. red bull right before your race...i brought my 800m time from 2:29 to 1:58...

  7. the track and field omnibook says toast and tea is good.  tea will wake you up and toast is high in carbohydrates which will give you energy for the day.  good luck.
