I watch 3 kids (7,6, and 4) for 1 hour in the morning, then the 4 year old comes back from school and I watch him for about 3 and a half hours. Thanks

  1. It really depends on where you live. Ask other caregivers in your neighbourhood what they are being paid.

  2. If you are a teenager you should get like $3.50 an hour. How can you expect someone to pay you $28 dollars an hour, you nuts? The person paying you probably doesn't even make that an hour. Don't be getting to picky there are lots of people who would take care of those kids for very little money.

  3. For the 3 kids together - $24 an hour ($8 perchild), for the 4 year old for 3 1/2 hours - $28. 8 x 3.5

Total for 1 day watching 3 kids for 1 hour then 1 child for 3.5 hours = $52

  4. $35 per day

  5. Yes! Caring for children is a time and energy consuming job! You should definately be getting paid! I charge $3.50 per hour per child for part-time care.
