What should I bring/not bring to Cancun on vacation?

This includes stuff such as clothes and electronics AND what should I bring on the flight there?

Bring:

Swimsuits, and coverups if that is your thing

Light clothing

Beach towel (if you are staying at a small hotel that may not provide them)

A few reading books

Sunscreen (biodegradable if you plan on going on the Xcaret or Xelha tours)

Sunglasses

Any maps you have purchased

Passports

Sandals-flip flops

If you are planning on going to a nice dinner, make sure to bring nicer clothing, yet still breezy

Possibly a hat if you are that type of person

Toiletries

Not much of a need, but if you want, you may like a spanish/english dictionary

Camera

Chapstick

Large ziplock bags for wet swim suits and dirty clothes

Some people prefer their own snorkel equipment and masks

Aloe vera gel

Maybe some binoculars, if you are a staying at an ocean view room

Flight:

ipod or music player

sudoku, cross words or some type of activity books

reading books

Head pillows if you have them

Maybe a water bottle

It depends where you are coming from, but it can be a long flight. We are flying out saturday and it is going to be an 8 hour flight for us, so make sure you will be well entertained.

Dont bring:

tennis shoes, unless you are the type of person that likes to run, play tennis, or golf in very hot and humid weather

Sweatshirts and coats, at least not at this time of year.
