I am a 14 year old girl who is DEATHLY afraid of heights (even the high dive at the pool creeps me out). But heres the thing. On August 18 I am going to a baseball camp Full Paid ($7,000 scholarship so I couldn't turn it down). However, it requires me to ride 2 planes to get there and 2 planes back. I am terrified but don't want to miss the oppurtunity of a lifetime. So I need tips, tricks, anything you have to offer me would be soo fantabulously great. Thanks ♥Breeauna♥

  1. Chew gum during takeoff to avoid your ears popping. Bring US Weekly and some other trashy stuff to read on the plane and in the airport, you will probably be too anxious to read anything serious. Bring your ipod, but know that they won't let you listen to during takeoff and landing because it messes with their communications equipment. Airports are filled with interesting looking people, you can distract yourself by making up stories to yourself about who they all are. Make flirty eyes at the cute boys you see. Strike up a conversation with someone. Also, let the flight attendants know it is your first trip and you're a little scared, they'll go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and ok.

    Good luck

  2. I find being in an air plane way less scary than the high dive at the pool!

I would bring some magazines or a book to read and music to listen to, to keep you distracted. Also some chewing gum and 'Ear Planes' to limit pressure on you ears: http://www.epinions.com/trvl-review-4A9D...

  3. Being on a plane is not all that bad. As long as you dont look out the window its almost as if the plane were motionless. You might just what to pack somthing that helps you sleep it  makes the trip faster. Oh and go to the bathroom be for you go on the plane because its kinda weird going in a bathroom on a plane...

Good Luck and have fun at Camp!!

  4. well bring a traveling pillow and ur set. nothing else is really needed...

  5. congratulations for that scholarship!

there's really nothing to worry about in riding planes. If you're scared of heights then sit in the aisles. Everything you need will be offered in the plane so there's really no need to worry. If your on a good airline company, you'll even have your private TV and if not, some other on board entertainments would be available. You can also ask the flight attendants for a pillow to make your flight comfortable.

So, bring only those you need at your destination.

    BON VOYAGE!!
