  1. It depends on where you're going.  A lot of Peruvians actually really appreciate things like batteries, flash lights, cameras and film.  Even pens, pencils and notebooks are appreciated in rural areas.  People from pretty much everywhere enjoy gifts that come from your homeland, like simple postcards or local wines.

So far as selling goes, I don't know if there's a huge market.  Peru is very undeveloped in most areas and downright impoverished in others.  While it's possible to find someone who might want to buy your stuff, it's probably not worth carrying the extra stuff and maybe borderline unethical to try peddling to people who can barely afford to clothe their children.

  2. You can't bring alcohol into the country--it would probably be confiscated. As for trading or gifts, the best item my husband has found that is truly appreciated is folding knives. Rainforest guides take them right off of him and people ask him for knives all the time. Knife quality in South America is extremely poor, so even inexpensive knives are great.

  3. When we go to Cusco we take lots of pencils with canadian flags on them, skittles, hats with canada flags, etc and give out to the kids who try to sell us postcards etc

    they love getting them

  4. Personally being from Lima, Peru and having lived there, I would say that most  peruvians like wearing name brand clothes like here in the US, anything like abercrombie, american eagle, etc. Peruvians, I believe are also interested in American beer, bud light, yuengling, miller, and also like imported alcohol (though they do have a wide selection themselves).
