I'm fourteen and i'm going to sleepaway camp for only a week. This is my second year and last year for cabin time we made bracelets and anklets out of string. I'm looking for any ideas of anything else that I can bring for "cabin time." or in other words, to keep me out of my boredom. any suggestions? thankss!!!

  1. bring cards or monopoly is always fun....

  2. Yeah bring cards and stuff. You also might want to write letters to your parents in this time or organize your bunk and clothing. Take this time to catch up on sleep (from my sleepaway camp experiences, we got  less then seven hours a night, lol) and maybe you could all tell funny or scary stories with the rest of your cabin. Another option is to get some fabric glue, fabric and scissors and create something new. I hope this helped!

  3. if you have an ipod

    that's great, until it goes

    dead,:D ..i seriously think

games are so boring. so i would

go to like, michaels or even walmart

and buy all sorts of craft projects..if you

play an instrument, or would like to learn

    bring that..i'm pretty sure SOMEBODDDYY

would be able/willling to teach you something

    new, right?? ;D

  4. I am a camp director and we always suggest to bring projects like pillow cases, t-shirts, visors, etc that you can decorate and exchange with other bunk mates.

  5. o o o u could decarate your camp t shirt... or go to hobby lobby and buy a few blank 1's... it's so much fun to do!!

  6. bring:

    cards

board games (which can be fun if you are hyper enough)

enough t-shirts (you can get packs of 4 at wally-mart) for everyone in your cabin (if possible, ask your bunkmates to bring one or two to camp)

Things like fabric paint (or acrylic paint with a fabric medium to mix it with), brushes, glitter glue, beads, needle and colourful thread, rhinestones and fabric glue, a bedazzler (do they still make those things?), and pinking shears. Youcan spend a little time each cabin time decorating, signing, bedazzling (lol) your tees.

    magazines

    novel

    notebook or sketchbook

    pens and pecils, gel pens

try getting everyone to go out and gather flowers, grasses and leaves and press them in a book, put books on top of that. Do this on the first day and on the last day, see your flowers, maybe use fabric glue to adhere them to tees.

    have fun! =)
